The 2011 meeting of the Sons and Daughters of the Colonial and Antebellum Bench and Bar 1565—1861 was held on Friday night, April the 15th, at the Army and Navy Club in Washington, D. C. Bench and Bar was joined by the National Society Sons and Daughters of Antebellum Planters 1607-1861. A cash bar preceded dinner. The brief business meeting included:
- The election of a nominating committee to select the slate of officers for the 2012—2014 term,
- Greetings from our scholarship recipient, a law student from William and Mary College, and
- A re-enactor from Gunston Hall, George Mason’s home, brought the program, “Why George Mason Refused To Sign the Constitution”.
